Der Lehrstuhl für British Literature and Cultural Studies der Universität des Saarlandes und die Charles Dickens-Gesellschaft Deutschland e.V. veranstalten von 10. bis 12. Juni 2010 ein internationales Seminar mit dem Thema Charles Dickens as an Agent of Change.
Hauptredner ist der bedeutende Dickens-Wissenschaftler Prof. em. Dr. Michael Slater (Birkbeck, University of London), Autor der 2009 bei Yale erschienenen Dickens-Biographie (Charles Dickens, Yale University Press, ISBN-13: 978-0300112078, Internetseite von Yale).
