Die CSMR ist die zentrale europäische Konferenz im Kontext der Software-Wartung und –Evolution. Sie bietet ein breites Forum zur Präsentation und Diskussion von Methoden und Verfahren zur Entwicklung langlebiger Softwaresysteme und zur Analyse, Evolution, Migration und Qualitätsverbesserung bestehender Softwaresysteme.
Neben dem wissenschaftlichen Programm umfasst die CSMR 2011 diverse Workshops, Tutorien, die Vorstellung europäischer Projekte und ein Doctoral Symposium. In diesem Jahr ist, in enger Kooperation mit OFFIS, erstmalig ein Industrie-Forum geplant, um Methoden, Werkzeuge und Dienstleistungen der Software-Industrie zur Unterstützung der Software-Evolution in der Praxis zu präsentieren.
