At this workshop ERTRAC presents its vision and the renewed strategic research agenda aiming at „a 50% more efficient European road transport system by 2030“. Furthermore the objectives, national programmes and structures for automotive research funding in a global perspective, as identified in the project EAGAR – European Assessment of Global Publicly Funded Automotive Research – will be presented and discussed. Right before the opening ceremony of the 2010 Aachen Colloquium this event is an excellent opportunity for researchers from the industry, scientists from institutes, students and anyone else who is interested in road transport research to learn about scenarios and future research priorities in Europe and the leading automotive nations.
