Zum Vortrag
In der römischen Mythologie hat die Göttin Fama einen ambivalenten Charakter: Sie verkörpert einerseits den Ruhm und andererseits das Gerücht. Tatsächlich gehören die positive und die negative Nachrede so eng zusammen, dass sie nicht immer leicht zu trennen sind. Der Vortrag verfolgt verschiedene Beispiele von Darstellungen "berühmter" und "berüchtigter" Persönlichkeiten von der Renaissance bis zur Gegenwart, um die Doppelnatur der Fama auszuloten.
Uta Kornmeier ist Kunsthistorikerin und als Forschungsassistentin der Direktion am ZfL tätig.
