The first day starts with a tutorial on Long Term Evolution (Berlin LTE-Advanced Testbed) and the Open Evolved Packet Core (OpenEPC). It continues with practical demonstrations from the Future Seamless Communication FUSECO Playground.
The second day features a highly interactive workshop with presentations from network operators and service providers. A vendor panel session and an associated exhibition will show state of the art and upcoming products in this field.
This interactive two day event is replacing the famous FOKUS IMS Workshop (www.fokus.fraunhofer.de/go/ims-event) series . While the IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) has united SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) based control in IP networks, the FUSECO Forum will be about the EPC (Evolved Packet Core). This software implementation has the potential to become the common control platform for any IP application. “From the technical maturity and global recognition points of view, EPC stands today where IMS stood five years ago. Therefore the time is right to launch a new workshop series to create global awareness Detailed information is provided on the FUSECO Forum home page.
