“Istanbul” – “Kushta” – “Constantinople”: Diversity of Identities and Personal Narratives in the Ottoman Capital (1830-1900)

Dr. Richard Wittmann, Orient-Institute Istanbul, and Prof. Dr. Christoph Herzog, University of Bamberg, are organizing an international conference about the cosmopolitan Istanbul of the 19th century. The conference takes place in the Kaisersaal of the German Consulate General Istanbul.
