Following the successful 2008 symposium in Aachen the 2011 conference belongs to a series of conferences held once every three years under the auspices of the technical committee "Materials aspects of tribology and machining" of the German Materials Society, DGM. The scope of the symposium covers all classes of materials, machining, production and lubrication technologies and targets at practitioners from industry as well as engineers and scientists.
The conference will take place in Karlsruhe, close to such beautiful landscapes as the Black Forest and the French Alsace. Karlsruhe is easily accessible via Frankfurt International Airport, one of Europe‘s major international airports, which is just one hour away by direct train.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
