On the move against childhood tuberculosis – transforming the fight towards elimination

International Symposium on Childhood TB by Koch-Metschnikow-Forum in cooperation with German Federal Ministry of Health (BMG); Russian Federal Ministry of Health; TB Alliance; Vakzine Projekt Management (VPM).

It discusses challenges and advances in the fight against childhood TB in the WHO Euro region with focus on high priority countries in Eastern Europe. It provides an update on state-of-the-art, research priorities, trends, diagnostics, prevention and clinical management, health politics.

Aims:
To facilitate discussion on current challenges and recent advances in the fight against childhood tuberculosis in the WHO Euro region with a particular focus on high priority countries in Eastern Europe; to provide an update on state-of-the-art, research priorities, epidemiology and trends, microbiological diagnostics, prevention and clinical management of childhood tuberculosis as well as public health measures and related health politics.
