Die Professorin für Romanistik an der Universität Düsseldorf und Feodor Lynen-Stipendiatin der Humboldt-Stiftung Vittoria Borsò blickt in ihrem Vortrag "Napoleon in der europäischen Literatur des 19. Jahrhunderts: Enthusiasmus und Melancholie eines neuen Menschenbildes" auf die europäischen Schriftsteller des 19. Jahrhunderts. Für sie verkörpert die Figur Napoleons einen Wendepunkt in der Geschichte. Napoleon wird noch zu Lebzeiten zum Mythos, allerdings verrät der Retter des Demokratisierungsprojekts der Revolution am Ende die eigenen Ideale.
Der erste Vortrag fand bereits am 29.3. statt.
