Mehr als die Hälfte aller Menschen lebt heute in Städten. Die größten unter ihnen, sogenannte Megastädte mit mehr als fünf Millionen Einwohnern, sind vor allem in den Entwicklungsländern während der letzten Jahrzehnte stark gewachsen.
Welche Herausforderungen und Chancen diese Megastädte bieten, erklärt Frauke Kraas, Professorin an der Universität Köln, in einem Vortrag der Reihe "exkurs- Einblick in die Welt der Wissenschaft" am Dienstag 10. Mai 2011, ab 19 Uhr in der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek in München.
