IAK Dry Ice Blasting

Since 2002, the IAK »Dry Ice Blasting« has been established as a forum to present and discuss current research, innovative applications, and novel ideas in the field of blasting with solid carbon dioxide. Dry ice is an excellent blasting agent which can be used for a great variety of applications ranging from the removal of highly adhesive lacquers to the gentle cleaning of electronic parts. Since dry ice is converted from solid to gas at normal ambient pressure, it doesn‘t leave any residues, as is the case with blasting abrasives such as sand or water. In contrast to many chemical cleaning agents it is also environmentally neutral. This year‘s presentations will include user reports, latest research findings, as well as innovations in systems engineering. The 15th IAK »Dry Ice Blasting« will be the second one held in English to offer the exchange of ideas to an international audience. The conference features lectures from both the academia and industry, as well as a technological exhibition. Above all, it provides a great networking opportunity, including an evening event for more intensive conversations and socializing.
