Ziel des Verbundvorhabens „Innovation Communities“ (InnoCo) ist die Herausarbeitung der Rolle und des Erfolgsbeitrags
von Innovation Communities im Entstehungs- und Durchsetzungsprozess grundlegender Innovationen.
Aufbauend auf theoretischen und empirischen Forschungsarbeiten wurde im Rahmen von InnoCo ein
Konzept zum Aufbau und zur Entwicklung von Innovation Communities entwickelt, welches auf verschiedene
Branchen und Anwendungsfelder übertragbar ist.
Im Rahmen des Verbundvorhabens wurden im Zeitraum von 2008 bis 2011 gemeinsam mit Praxispartnern in
den Bereichen Nanotechnologie, Photovoltaik sowie wohngebäudebezogene Lösungen der Informations- und
Kommunikationstechnik leistungsfähige Methoden und Instrumente zur Unterstützung von Innovation Communities
identifiziert und entwickelt.
