In zukünftigen Kraftfahrzeugen werden Systeme zur Abwärmenutzung eingesetzt, die die CO2-Emissionen um bis zu 8 Prozent reduzieren können. Die hierzu erforderlichen Wärmeübertrager wie z. B. Abgasrückfuhrkühler, Verdampfer oder Kondensatoren stellen die Schlüsselkomponenten zur Umsetzung dieser Technologien in die Serie dar.
Das Motoren-Kolloquium an der Fachhochschule Köln ist eine Kooperation der Fakultät für Fahrzeugsysteme und Produktion (F08) und der Fakultät für Anlagen, Energie- und Maschinensysteme (F09).
