Die digitale Revolution hat das Gleichgewicht von Journalismus und PR empfindlich gestört, die Grenzen verschwimmen. Neue Formen von PR, aber auch von Journalismus sind aufgekommen: Mischformen an der Grenze zur Werbung, die sich nur schwer kategorisieren lassen. Zugleich stellen sich alte Probleme im neuen Gewand. Die Ringvorlesung der Fächer Journalistik und PR und Kommunikationsmanagement an der MHMK greift aktuelle Tendenzen auf und versucht eine Neubestimmung des Verhältnisses von Journalismus und PR. Die Professoren Hektor Haarkötter und Lars Rademacher wollen eine Diskussion zwischen Praktikern und Wissenschaftlern eröffnen.
Am 12. Juni verhandelt die Ringvorlesung das Thema „Crosspromotion: Wenn Sender für sich selbst werben“. Andreas Egger vom BR und Silke Burmester von der taz werden kontrovers diskutieren.
