Die Universität Stuttgart bezieht auf dem Vaihinger Campus nach wenigen Jahren ihren zweiten Informatikneubau in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft zum Forschungszentrum für Simulationstechnologie. Für die international erfolgreiche und expandierende Informatikforschung und -Lehre aus Stuttgart wird damit mehr Raum geschaffen. Zudem ist im Erdgeschoss des Gebäudes ein integrierter, mit flexibler Architektur und Einrichtung gestalteter Veranstaltungsbereich entstanden, der als neues Informatik-Forum Stuttgart der Kommunikation zwischen Wissenschaft, Wirtschaft und Gesellschaft dient.
Zur feierlichen Übergabe des Forschungsneubaus für die Informatik laden wir Sie herzlich zu einem Pressegespräch ein, bei dem das neue Gebäude für das Institut für Maschinelle Sprachverarbeitung(IMS),eines der weltweit angesehensten Institute für Computerlinguistik, vorgestellt wird. Grußworte sprechen Prof. Dr. Ing. Wolfram Ressel, Rektor der Universität Stuttgart, Prof. Dr. rer. nat. Erhard Plödereder, Institut für Softwartetechnologie der Universität Stuttgart sowie Wolfgang Leidig, Ministerialdirektor im Ministerium für Finanzen und Wirtschaft Baden-Württemberg und Prof. Hartwig N. Schneider, hartwig n. schneider architekten.
