Anlässlich der Ausstellung "Jenseits des Horizonts. Raum und Wissen in den Kulturen der Alten Welt" im Pergamonmuseum, Berlin veranstaltet das Deutsche Archäologische Institut im Rahmen des Exzellenzclusters TOPOI, in Zusammenarbeit mit der Humboldt-Universität und dem Museum für Islamische Kunst, die Vortragsreihe "Klänge antiker Musikinstrumente. Sounds of Ancient Musical Instruments".
Der erste Vortrag von Nicholas Conard, Universität Tübingen, beschäftigt sich mit Musikinstrumenten der Altsteinzeit.
