Gereicht werden 13 Weiß- sowie 10 Rotweine des Jahrgangs 2011 aus Reben, die am Standort Geilweilerhof des Julius Kühn-Instituts gezüchtet wurden. Einige davon haben bereits eine Sortenzulassung. Abgerundet wird die diesjährige Weinprobe mit je 5 Rot- bzw. Weißweinen aus Rebsorten, die bisher in Deutschland kaum oder nicht angebaut werden, aber evtl. aufgrund der Klimaveränderungen auch hierzulande eine Bedeutung erlangen können.
