Prof. Andreas Maercker, Leiter der Abteilung Psychopathologie und Klinische Intervention an der Universität Zürich, und Privatdozent Dr. Matthias Schützwohl, Arbeitsgruppenleiter an der Klinik und Poliklinik für Psychiatrie und Psychotherapie an der TU Dresden, hatten Mitte der 1990er Jahre 146 ehemalige politische Inhaftierte befragt. 15 Jahre danach haben sie die Mehrzahl der Betroffenen, 78 Männer und 15 Frauen, noch einmal untersucht. An der Pressekonferenz präsentieren sie die Resultate ihrer Erhebung.
