In dem gemeinnützigen Verein High-Octane Motorsports mengagieren sich bis zu 80 Studenten der Friedrich-Alexander-Universität (FAU) Erlangen-Nürnberg. Sie planen, konstruieren und entwickeln einen Boliden, mit dem das Team an dem jährlichen Konstruktionswettbewerb der Formula Student teilnimmt. Der sechste und neueste Rennwagen des Teams, der »FAUmax zeta«, wird nun erstmals der Öffentlichkeit vorgestellt. Das Fraunhofer IIS unterstützt High-Octane Motorsports e. V. seit seiner Gründung vor sieben Jahren.
