Syria, Iran, Afghanistan - when US President Barack Obama visits Europe, international crises will play a prominent role and so will economic issues. The proposal of a shared trans-Atlantic market has stoked economists' dreams of growth.
Is Europe's significance as strategic and economic partner for the US once again on the rise? Or will US foreign policy's attention continue to focus on the emerging powers of Asia ans Latin America? Finally, what signal will the US President's visit send 50 years after Kennedy's historical Berlin address?
Panelists:
Judy Dempsey, Columnist International Herald Tribune, Senior Associate at Carnegie Europe
Harald Leibrecht, Member of the German Parliament and Coordinator for Transatlantic Cooperation in the Federal Foreign Office
Ben Scott, Former advisor to State Secretary Hillary Clinton and Visiting Fellow at the "Stiftung Neue Verantwortung" in Berlin
Moderation: Dr. Gero Schließ, Deutsche Welle
The event will be followed by a reception.

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
