Während bisher hauptsächlich die Ressource Wasser im Vordergrund stand, möchte das Global Soil Forum des IASS nun auch die Ressource Boden stärker in den Fokus rücken.
Daher lädt das IASS Potsdam in Kooperation mit dem Ministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung (BMZ) am 17. Juni zu einem Expertengespräch mit dem Titel „Soils in the Nexus“ ein. Vertreter/innen der Bundesregierung, von Forschungseinrichtungen und nichtstaatlichen Organisationen diskutieren gemeinsam, welche Konsequenzen die Einbeziehung der Böden für die Nexus-Perspektive hätte und ob eine solche Perspektiverweiterung die Relevanz des Themas in der globalen Nachhaltigkeitsdebatte erhöhen könnte.
Die Veranstaltung am IASS Potsdam schließt an die Bonner Nexus-Konferenz 2011 „The Water, Energy and Food Security Nexus – Solutions for the Green Economy“ an.
