Ihre Gesprächspartner sind Prof. Dr. Lutz Schön, Didaktik der Physik an der Humboldt-Universität Berlin und Vorstandsprecher der GDCP sowie Prof. Dr. Hans E. Fischer, Didaktik der Physik und Zentrum für Lehrerbildung an der Universität Dortmund, für die örtliche Tagungsleitung.
Erwartet werden an der Universität Dortmund über 200 Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus dem In- und Ausland. Die Teilnehmer diskutieren die Ergebnisse ihrer aktuellen Forschungen über Fragen und Probleme des Lernens und Lehrens von Chemie und Physik. Das Tagungsthema lautet: "Bildungsqualität und naturwissenschaftlicher Unterricht".
