Vehicle Dynamics is a field of science and engineering which focuses on the dynamic behaviour of ground vehicles like automobiles and rail vehicles. This dynamic behaviour has a strong impact on vibration and comfort, stability, steering behaviour, traction and braking, vehicle-track interaction and many more. While Vehicle Dynamics has originally been based on classical mechanics, nowadays multi-physics, mechatronics and control theory are of ever-increasing importance in this field of research. Therefore taking into consideration all those additional aspects is crucial for improving the development and optimization of ground vehicles and their impact on humans and the environment.
IAVSD 2015 in Graz is focusing on the following topics:
* dynamics and stability
* vibration and comfort
* suspension
* steering
* traction and braking
* active safety systems
* advanced driver assistance systems and autonomous driving
* modelling and simulation
* field and laboratory testing
* control
* performance and optimisation
* condition monitoring
* environmental considerations
* driver-vehicle interaction
* wheel-rail / tire-road dynamics
* aerodynamics and crosswind
* pantograph-catenary dynamics
Conference Format
Each day will start with an invited state-of-the-art paper and two keynote speeches. Oral and poster presentations in four parallel streams will present the latest findings of researchers from universities and industry around the world.
Technical visits
A technical programme (including visits such as tours to automotive and railway industry factories, depots and research institutes) will be arranged during the symposium.
Social Program
The Organisers invite you to a Welcome Reception on Monday evening the 17th of August and the official IAVSD 2015 Banquet will be held on Thursday evening the 20th of August.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
