The talk will focus on the new and reinforced ‘gender requirements’ that have been implemented in the European Programme for Research and Innovation Horizon 2020. The European Commission has a long record of paying attention to the position of women in research and to the gender dimension of the research and innovation content. To support and stimulate integration of the gender dimension researchers can now profit from the methods for sex and gender analysis that have been developed by the Gendered Innovations project.
About Ineke Klinge
Ineke Klinge is currently visiting professor of Gender Medicine at the Institute of Gender in Medicine at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin. She has a background in biomedical sciences and gender research and is associate professor of Gender Medicine at Maastricht University. She chairs the Horizon 2020 Advisory Group on Gender at the European Commission. Ineke Klinge is involved in a number of ongoing EU projects and participates in the advisory boards of the Institute for Gender and Health (Canada) and of the European Institute for Women’s Health.
