Luigi Snozzi zählt zu den führenden Vertretern der zeitgenössischen Tessiner Architekturszene. Er hat vergleichsweise wenig gebaut und ist dennoch einer der einflussreichsten Architekten, Stadtplaner und Architekturlehrer der Schweiz. Dabei ist sein Einfluss auf die jüngere Architektengeneration nicht hoch genug einzuschätzen – er prägte ganze Generationen von Architekten, die in Zürich, Lausanne oder Genf studiert haben.
Die Fakultät für Architektur der Fachhochschule Köln organisiert seit 2009 den "architectural tuesday". Die Vortragsreihe spricht Lehrende, Studierende, die interessierte Öffentlichkeit und Medien gleichermaßen an. In diesem Semester wurde die Reihe vom Institut für Architektur, Konstruktion und Theorie konzipiert.
