Eine personale Identität auszuprägen, für die man Verantwortung trägt, ist eine unvermeidliche Aufgabe im menschlichen Leben. Von diesem Selbstbild hängt es ab, was wir wertschätzen und als sinnvoll erachten, vor allem auch im Hinblick auf die unser Leben prägenden Formen des Handelns. Die identitätsstiftende Einheit der Person gibt es für ein sich selbst bestimmendes Wesen wie den Menschen aber immer nur in Form von personaler Integrität. Könnte es also sein, dass sie der Ursprung der ethischen Normativität ist?
