Etwa 1 800 Millionen Tonnen Gülle produzieren Schweine, Rinder und Geflügel in Europa jedes Jahr. In dem von der EU geförderten Projekt BioEcoSIM haben 15 Partner aus Forschung und Industrie unter der Leitung des Fraunhofer IGB eine Anlage entwickelt, mit der sie wertvolle Nährstoffe der Gülle zu verschiedenen Düngemitteln verarbeiten.
Eine Pilotanlage, mit der die Nährstoffe von 50 Kilogramm Gülle pro Stunde direkt vor Ort zu Phosphat- und Stickstoffdünger sowie Biokohle aufgearbeitet werden, stellt das Projektkonsortium am 14. Juni 2016 Interessierten aus Landwirtschaft und Industrie in Kupferzell beim Projektpartner Agro Energie Hohenlohe vor.
Die Produkte können gemischt und an den Nährstoffbedarf der jeweiligen Pflanzenart und an die Nährstoffzusammensetzung des Bodens angepasst werden.
