International in scope, HMKW's Summer Ad School is geared towards young professionals from the fields of Graphic Design, Art Direction und Communications. The course will be taught in English. In lectures and workshops, participants will learn and apply cutting edge design techniques and latest trends in advertising.
Graphic Design, Communication Design, Marketing and Psychology will be combined to give an interdisciplinary overview of the latest trends in the world of communication and advertising. Innovative design techniques will be applied to an ad campaign, which participants will create for the German Red Cross or other partner NGOs of the Summer Ad School. Workshop participants can use their existing classic design and communication strategy skills and connect these to the newly acquired knowledge.
There will be a focus on empirical research of the effectiveness of visual communication. This will be examined with the help of eyetracking systems, for instance. If you would like to expand your knowledge and be part of an international team of young professionals learning together in the heart of the vibrant city of Berlin, then this course is for you!
