Neutron scattering, by its very nature is used as a powerful probe in many different disciplines and areas. Therefore, the conference is a unique chance for interdisciplinary exchange and cooperation in research opportunities. Young scientists are particularly welcome.
During the three days plenary talks will highlight the upcoming European Spallation Source, the large research center in Sweden still under construction, applications of neutrons in materials sciences and topological aspects of magnetic order. In addition, minisymposia will provide a focus on the topics „Proteins: dynamics and interactions“, „High brilliance compact neutron sources - status and perspectives“, „Neutron spectroscopy for dynamics in confinement“ and „Materials characterisation“. The poster session will be complemented by online presentations of software related to neutron research.
Another part of the conference is the announcement of the laureate of the Wolfram-Prandl-Prize for young scientists in neutron research. The evening lecture on September 20, 7.15 p.m. on "The Neutron and the Universe" will be open to the public and free of charge. Prof. Stephan Paul from the Technical University of Munich will present his research on the origin of the universe. His talk will be in German.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
