“I think you will be hard pressed to find any country in Europe that has done something similar,” Yoram Gutgeld told the Financial Times in 2014. “This is an atomic bomb.” Two years after Italy initiated a massive reform process, where does it stand? Many of its neighbouring economies have also faced an uphill battle in the wake of the euro crisis. The long recession has hit them hard. Italy, like others, has grappled with slow or shrinking growth, low productivity and high public debt. Planned reforms include massive tax cuts for middle to low income earners and overhauling labour laws to unlock spending and investment capacity, among other things. How has this plan panned out so far? And what promise could it hold for European countries facing similar problems?

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
