Turn basic into unique pieces

An upcycling project saw 56 design from unibz (South Tyrol) students experimenting with clothes hangers – now to be seen at the upcycling fair in Leipzig form 20th to 23rd October 2016.

When the sports company Salewa introducee a new corporate image, all old clothes hangers in the shops had to be changed. This was the moment when Prof. Kuno Prey started to do an upcycling project with his students at the Faculty of Design and Art, imagining several new applications for this everyday object.

The Faculty is part of the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano (South Tyrol, Italy), offering courses in the three languages German, Italian and English and combining Visual and Product communication.

The best items will be exposed at the International Upcycling Fair & Exhibition_Echt Alt/Original Old in Leipzig from 20-23 October 2016.
