Felix Culpa. Toward a Theory of Productive Guilt

ForscherInnen aus den Disziplinen Anthropologie, Geschichtswissenschaft, Literaturwissenschaft, Philosophie, Psychologie, Rechtswissenschaft, Religionswissenschaft und Soziologie gehen der Frage nach, inwiefern Schuld als produktive Kraft in kulturellen Legitimations- und Transformationsprozessen bedeutsam ist. Theorien zur Dynamik von Kulturen haben seit jeher die Gewalt ins Zentrum ihrer Überlegungen gerückt. Dieses Projekt wechselt jedoch die Perspektive von der Gewalt- zur Schuldfrage.

Die Tagung ꞌFelix Culpa. Toward a Theory of Productive Guiltꞌ wird geleitet von Dr. Matthias Buschmeier (Literaturwissenschaft) und Prof. Dr. Katharina von Kellenbach (Theologie). Die Tagung wird nicht nur eine multidisziplinäre Perspektive verfolgen, sondern die oft genuin europäisch-jüdisch-christliche Schuldtradition mit anderen Religionen (Islam / indigene Religionen) sowie mit dem Umgang in nicht-europäischen Settings (Indonesien/Indien/Mozambique) vergleichen. Die Tagungssprache ist Englisch.
