The GIGA Distinguished Speaker Lecture Series brings the best and brightest minds in academia and policy from all over the world to Hamburg to stimulate public exchange on key global developments.
In the face of increasing global disorder, the future of multilateralism concerns us all. We need global political cooperation to develop responses to problems that affect more than one state or region. The G20 as an institution of global governance can play a vital role in promoting solutions. In his lecture, Lars-Hendrik Röller, Chief Economic Advisor to the Chancellor will provide insights into this process of international cooperation and its recommendations for global-scale regulations. Immediately after the German Federal Elections, we also will be able to learn more of Germany’s forthcoming role in world politics and multilateralism.
