„Umbruch“ oder „Kontinuität“ – das ist von jeher ein zentraler Diskussionsgegenstand reformationsgeschichtlicher Forschung, bisweilen auch ein echtes Reizthema. Zu den wichtigen Ergebnissen des Reformationsjubiläums 2017 gehört die verstärkte Erkenntnis, dass dieses Begriffspaar nicht nur für die Reformationstheologie, sondern auch für die Buch- und Mediengeschichte der Reformation von größter Bedeutung gewesen ist. Unter der Fragestellung „Was war neu am reformatorischen Buchdruck?“ wird Prof. Dr. Thomas Kaufmann (Göttingen), einer der führenden deutschen Kirchenhistoriker, seine Forschungen und Überlegungen zum Thema vorstellen und mit dem Leiter des Inkunabelreferats der Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin, Dr. Falk Eisermann, diskutieren.
