International Experts Gather to Discuss Big Data at the University of Mannheim

The International Program in Survey and Data Science (IPSDS) has once again invited an international panel of big data experts to Mannheim. Connect@IPSDS will take place on Saturday, June 1, in the Lecture Hall of the Mannheim Business School.

In the afternoon, Roberto Rigobon of the MIT Sloan School of Management, Mine Cetinkaya-Rundel (University of Edinburgh) and data analyst Hilary Parker will provide insights into their work and experiences. Topics range from use of design thinking in data analysis to the measurement of environmental social and governance using big data.

Connect@IPSDS is running for the fourth time. This year an interactive workshop – open to the public – was added to the agenda to discuss pitfalls in big data analysis.

IPSDS invites students, young professionals, researchers, practitioners and interested parties from all sectors (science, industry, government and non-profit organizations) for a day of networking and exchanging ideas in the field of survey research and data science.

Connect@IPSDS will take place on Saturday, June 1, 2019 starting at 9 a.m. at the Mannheim Business School Lecture Hall in the East Wing of Schloss Mannheim. The event is free of charge. More information and registration at:
