MARINE MAMMALS is an EU-funded project to further increase young people’s interest in natural science. Nine research institutes and NGO’s from Germany, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and Denmark joined forces for the project in September 2016. One of these institutes was the Institute for Terrestrial and Aquatic Wildlife Research of the University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Foundation.
The conference will include presentations about the outcomes of the European Horizon 2020 project "MARINE MAMMALS: Science education". Besides talks, you will also have the opportunity to learn about and familiarize yourself with our teaching materials such as expedition boxes, 3-D animations, digital posters and podcasts.
Additionally, you have the chance to meet all project partners: University of Veterinary Medicine Hannover, Christian Albrechts University Kiel, University of Liege, Belgium, Foundation for the Development of Gdansk University, Poland, University of Southern Denmark, Havets Hus, Lysekil Aquarium, Sweden, Meeresmedien, WWF Poland and other marine public outreach specialists for networking. Further, contestants of the MARINE MAMMALS activities will be present to answer questions on how they experienced the activities and materials.
