The transition of our society from a fossil-based economy to a bio-based economy is a challenging task, which makes an international cooperation necessary. Only on an international level, bioeconomy strategies can be successful in the long term. One building block for a promising bioeconomy is the development of innovative and novel bioplastics and biocomposites. To reduce the dependence on fossil resources and to promote sustainable production of plastics and composites from renewable resources, the Institute for Bioplastics and Biocomposites (IfBB), University of Applied Sciences and Arts, Hannover, Germany in collaboration with the Vel Tech Rangarajan Dr. Sagunthala R&D Institute of Science and Technology, India is organizing a workshop on ‘Bio-based and Circular Economy for a sustainable future’, which will involve technical presentations on different aspects of plastics and composites from renewable resources and a ‘Industry-University interactive session’ on how to mitigate the effect of plastic pollution and look for solutions for a sustainable future. This workshop will serve as a platform for the bioeconomy industry, universities and research institutions to exchange information and identify the problems and research areas, which will then result in a potential collaboration for implementing these ideas as part of joint application under Horizon 2020, which is the biggest Research and Innovation programme in the European Union. The goal of this workshop is to develop a long-term network and knowledge transfer between the industries and institutions from India with Germany in the field of bioplastics and biocomposites.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
