The Leibniz Center Infection (LCI) is a joint venture of the three Leibniz Institutes Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine, Heinrich Pette Institute - Leibniz Institute for Experimental Virology and Research Center Borstel - Leibniz Lung Center.
The two-day symposium will focus on strategies to overcome antibiotic resistance and focus on approaches other than the development of new antibiotics. In times of widespread infections with multi-resistant pathogens, this meeting will bring together international experts to discuss new perspectives such as host molecule targeting, phage therapy, personalized interventions or vector control.
In a specific session, DZIF researchers will present their alternative strategies to combat resistance.
