Zu einer Tagung über Transkontinentale Migration im Mittelmeerraum trifft sich am 1./2. November an der Universität Bayreuth (Hörsaal H 6, Gebäude Geo) der Arbeitskreis Geographische Mittelmeerländerforschung. Nach der Einführung durch Dr. Cordula Weißköppel (Bayreuth), die aktuelle Tendenzen in der Migrationsforschung aufzeigen wird, beschäftigen sich die Geographen in knapp 20 Vorträgen mit dem Themengebieten "Migrationsgründe und Migrationsprozesse", "Lebensbedingungen und Interaktionsmuster in den Zielländern" sowie "Migranten-Netzwerken in Zielländern und mit Herkunftsländern".
