Der zweite Livestream der Reihe „The Covid-19 Crisis from a German, European and International Perspective” findet am 19. Mai 2020 um 16 Uhr in englischer Sprache auf https://verfassungsblog.de/ statt und trägt den Titel „Whatever it takes? Covid-19 as an (existential) crisis for the European Union“. In dieser Diskussionsrunde geht es unter anderem um die Fragen, wie weit die Solidarität in der EU gehen muss, welche wirtschaftlichen Folgen auf die Staatengemeinschaft zukommen und ob die viel diskutierten Corona-Bonds oder der Europäische Stabilitätsmechanismus wirksame Mittel gegen die ökonomischen Schäden sein können. Über allem schwebt die Frage, ob die Coronakrise sogar die Existenz der EU gefährden könnte. Als Redner ist unter anderem der ehemalige EU-Kommissar für Krisenmanagement Christos Stylianides dabei.
Ein weiterer Termin der Reihe findet am 26. Mai mit Fokus auf die internationale Staatengemeinschaft statt.
