We demonstrate for an inclusive science!

Interesting short lectures by diverse researchers – easy to understand, free of charge and open air – will be held on 6 November 2021 between 12:00 and 14:00 at the Invalidenpark in Berlin.

On 6 November (Saturday) from 12:00 till 14:00, diverse scientists on soapboxes turn the Invalidenpark in Berlin-Mitte into a space of learning and scientific debate.

Join them and learn about science: What is so special about particles in the South Pole? What is that high cholesterol your doctor keeps telling you about? Have you ever considered eating insect beef? How do plants communicate, and what do memories look like? The short talks will be in German and/or English.

Do you have questions of your own? The scientists will be happy to share their experiences, and talk to you about their exciting research, but also about how they navigate a space where female and queer role models are often difficult to find.

Soapbox Science Berlin and LGBTQ STEM Berlin join forces during the Berlin Science Week to showcase the power of diversity both in scientists and their research, and to break the stereotypes that exist around scientists. Because science is for everyone!

Help

Search / advanced search of the idw archives
Combination of search terms

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.

Brackets

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).

Phrases

Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.

Selection criteria

You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).

If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
