On March 3, 2022, Canadian-German symposium “The Potential of AI for Robotics Innovations” will be co-hosted by the Canadian-German projects, ARIBIC and FLAIROP, German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action (BMWK), Canadian National Research Council (NRC) and DLR Projektträger. During the symposium, experts from research institutions and industry will share insights and latest findings in the field of autonomous robot picking and the potential of federated learning as well as the usage of sensor data for 3D environmental mapping.
In addition, talks during the symposium will address the following questions:
- How can sensor fusion help robots to perceive complex environments?
- How to automatically generate semantic maps with AI?
- Why is robotic bin picking so challenging to learn?
- How can robots learn from each other without sharing data (federated learning)?
Furthermore, participants will have to opportunity to learn more about funding opportunities for future bilateral cooperation projects.
The organizers cordially invite
• Industry representatives and start-ups active in (intra-)logistics and production (Industry 4.0) branches
• Scientists from universities and research institutes from the field of AI, robot picking, autonomous vehicles and computer vision
• Innovation managers and disseminators

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
