Following the discourse at the Passau conference "Absender unbekannt. Wissenschaftliche Verfahren im Umgang mit anonymen Vorwürfen” (Sender unknown. Scientific procedures in dealing with anonymous accusations) [https://www.digital.uni-passau.de/beitraege/2020/tagung-absender-unbekannt], which took place in March 2020, governance experts, responsible persons, scientists and those affected will discuss the issue and include different perspectives in the dialogue. It is the aim of the conference to find concrete and applicable solutions.
On the first day, we will learn about the challenges and problems that arise when establishing and implementing procedures at research organizations. We will discuss what consequences such implementations have for individuals and the system. We look forward to contributions from Professor Bernhard Kempen (DHV) and Professor Oliver Günther (HRK), Dr. Nicole Boivin, Michael Balter (independent journalist, former Paris correspondent for Science), Dr. Heide Ahrens (DFG) und Professor Thomas Krieg (Leopoldina). We eagerly await well-founded background information on the legal context from Professor Sascha Herms (HTW Berlin), as well as insights into internal procedures from Inge Bell (Bell Consulting), Professor Ursula Keller (ETH Zurich) and Professor Eric Steinhauser (spokesperson for the "Ombudsman for Science" panel).
On the second day, the focus will be on approaches to solutions and necessary changes. To this end, we will gain empirical insights into hierarchies in academia and external perspectives on governance in academia from Dr. Nicholas Russell (MPG), Thomas Sattelberger from politics, Hauke Paasch, CEO of the Vorwerk company from business and Kristin Haug (SPIEGEL) from the media perspective. We will discuss solutions and next steps with Dr. Norbert Sack (Leadership Advisors for Academia), Prof. Dr. Ulrike Beisiegel (Univ. Göttingen) Alina Fahrenwaldt (MPG) and Professor Heinz Fehrenbach (AG Macht und Gender in der Wissenschaft).
The University of Wuppertal will host this conference and welcome scientists to the city where once the revolutionary entrepreneur Friedrich Engels was born and spent his youth and which is today the heart of the “Circular Valley”, a place for creative discussions and groundbreaking ideas.

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
