Mit der Future Lecture hält Kliesch auch gleichzeitig seine Eintrittsvorlesung als Neuberufener für die Fujitsu-Stiftungsprofessur "Quantum Inspired and Quantum Optimization". Er wird die Grundidee des Quantencomputings vorstellen, einen Einblick in den aktuellen Status der Forschung geben und über Ziele und Hoffnungen für die Zukunft des Quantum Computing berichten. Außerdem wird das Feld aus Sicht der Industrie beleuchtet. Frank Fehlau, Strategic Account Director bei Fujitsu und Christian Wiebus, Senior Director New Business and Innovation bei NXP Semiconductors, werden Einblicke in die Potenziale des Quantum Computing geben und aufzeigen, welche Rolle Hamburg als Standort dieser Zukunftstechnologie spielt.
Beim anschließenden Get-together gibt es außerdem eine Posterausstellung von thematisch relevanten Forschungsarbeiten an der TU Hamburg.
