The 2023 award recipient is Daron Acemoglu, Institute Professor of Economics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He receives the award for his vastly influential work on, among others, the decisive role of institutions in capitalist economies, on the forces of state and society, and on the uses and risks of automation. As his research moves across both political science and economics, Daron Acemoglu has become a leading expert on the determinants of economic growth.
The A.SK Award is complemented by two Bright Mind Awards for a younger generation of researchers: Filiz Garip, Professor of Sociology and Public Affairs at Princeton University, receives the award for reshaping our narratives of migration. Stefanie Stantcheva, Professor of Political Economy at Harvard University, is honored for her work on how people understand, reason, and learn about tax policies.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
