Despite being separated by more than 18,000 kilometres, Germany and New Zealand entertain close ties. On top of trade and diplomatic consultations, substantial flows of both short-term visitors and long-term migrants connect the two countries. Ideas, innovations, and institutional designs have also travelled both ways. For example, New Zealand has employed a German-style electoral system since the 1990s. Both countries are free traders and supporters of multilateralism. In many ways, these are very like-minded countries that cooperate closely at the bilateral level, in the context of the Indo-Pacific, and at the global level.

You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
