Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) gewinnt in den letzten Jahren zusehends an Aufmerksamkeit und wird vermehrt als Lösung vorhandener komplexer Probleme in der Gesundheitsversorgung eingebracht. Vor dem Hintergrund systemischer Diskriminierung und Daten, die schon an sich gebiast sind – Stichwort racial bias oder gender data gap – stellt sich jedoch die Frage: Ist eine faire KI für Anwendungen in der Medizin und für die Gesundheitsversorgung überhaupt möglich? Der Vortrag von Prof. Dr. Renate Baumgartner gibt eine Einführung in eine soziologische und feministische Perspektive auf KI und bespricht, Methoden KI fairer zu entwickeln.
