With its new, digital webinar series "Photonics4Future", Fraunhofer IOF offers exclusive insights into pioneering research and technologies in the field of optics and photonics. Once a month, researchers from the institute will present their solutions for current and future challenges in industry and society live. The live presentations will take place on the second Thursday of every month from September to December 2024, from 2:00pm to 2:45pm.
What you can expect in this webinar on November 14:
"Comprehensive characterization throughout the photonic process chain is essential for high-performance optics. The webinar provides an overview of surface and coating characterization with a particular focus on roughness analysis using the PSD function and its connection to scattered light. Additionally, it addresses light scattering-based particle and defect detection as well as links to stray light analysis. These topics are highly relevant for aerospace, lithography, and optical metrology."
Your host will be Dr. Anne-Sophie Munser, Head of Group "Surface and Coating Characterization" at Fraunhfofer IOF.
The presentation will be held in English.

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
