The International Heat Flow Calorimetry Symposium – Energetic Materials and the International Nitrocellulose Symposium 2025 will be held simultaneously from Monday, 15 September until Friday, 19 September 2025 at Fraunhofer ICT in Pfinztal-Berghausen near Karlsruhe. Both conferences share a long history as specialized symposia considering the topics of nitrocellulose (NC), its manufacturing, processing and characterization as well as the effects, the use, the interpretation and the modelling of heat flow of energetic materials. They are organized by Fraunhofer Institute for Chemical Technology ICT in Pfinztal (near Karlsruhe, Germany) and the Naval Surface Warfare Center NAVSEA in Crane (IN, USA).
Possible topics for Nitrocellulose Symposium are:
• Resources available for NC production
• Processing of cellulose for nitration
• Manufacturing of NC
• Stabilizing NC
• Formulation of propellants with NC
• Behavior of NC-based materials
As for the Heat Flow Calorimetry Symposium, papers on the following topics are welcome:
• Heat flow microcalorimetry (HFMC)
• Differential scanning calorimetry (DSC)
• Accelerated rate calorimetry (ARC)
• Reaction calorimetry (RC)
• Reaction flow calorimetry (RFC)
• Interpretation and modelling of reactions

You can combine search terms with and, or and/or not, e.g. Philo not logy.
You can use brackets to separate combinations from each other, e.g. (Philo not logy) or (Psycho and logy).
Coherent groups of words will be located as complete phrases if you put them into quotation marks, e.g. “Federal Republic of Germany”.
You can also use the advanced search without entering search terms. It will then follow the criteria you have selected (e.g. country or subject area).
If you have not selected any criteria in a given category, the entire category will be searched (e.g. all subject areas or all countries).
