Zu diesem alljährlichen Treffen der European Society of Human Genetics (ESHG) werden 1500 Teilnehmer aus 62 Ländern erwartet. Lokaler Gastgeber ist Prof. Dr. Thomas Meitinger, Direktor des Instituts für Humangenetik am GSF - Forschungszentrum für Umwelt und Gesundheit. Gemeinsam mit der Europäischen Humangenetikkonferenz findet auch heuer wieder das Europäische Treffen zu Psychosozialen Aspekten der Genetik (European Meeting on Psychosocial Aspects of Genetics - EMPAG) statt.
Die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Humangenetik unterhält während des gesamten Konferenzzeitraums im Münchner Messe- und Kongresszentrum ein Pressebüro als Anlaufstelle für teilnehmende Medienvertreter.
